Back in June, we shared that resvu had won the 2025-26 SCA Queensland Strata Services Business – Excellence in Service Award, our second time taking out that award. It’s recognition from the people who know strata best, and it means a lot every time.
Now we’ve been recognised again, and this time the context is wider. resvu has won the Scale-Up award in the Workflow & Transactions category at the 2026 Proptech Australia Awards. The winners were announced at a gala dinner at The Ivy Ballroom in Sydney, with nearly 300 industry leaders, entrepreneurs and supporters in the room.
The SCA Queensland award judged us against strata management businesses, on strata terms, for strata service. The Proptech Australia award judged us against property technology as a whole, across every asset class and every kind of real estate business solving a workflow problem. Being named a winner in that room highlights that what we’ve built for strata holds up against the best workflow technology in real estate, not just the best in our corner of it.
Now in their sixth year, the Proptech Australia Awards recognise the property technology companies solving real problems across the industry, not just within one asset class. This year’s event handed out 34 awards and two highly commended certificates across 13 categories, judged by a panel of senior industry figures. Workflow & Transactions was one of the categories with the strongest competition, reflecting how much demand there now is for technology that takes the manual work out of admin-heavy processes, wherever in real estate that admin lives.
For resvu, this award is a recognition of what strata management teams have been asking for all along: one platform that brings communication, requests, job workflows, quotes, committee engagement and resident self-service together, instead of forcing managers to toggle between disconnected systems all day.
Why this category matters to us
Strata management runs on requests. A pool pump breaks. A resident wants an update. A committee needs to approve a quote. Multiply that across dozens of buildings and thousands of lot owners, and the workflow problem becomes the whole job.
resvu was built to fix exactly that gap between request, response and resolution. Our founder Tom Welsby was a strata manager himself before starting resvu, and the idea for the platform came out of a very ordinary bad day: a broken pool pump, over 100 emails, and a printed sign taped to an elevator because there was no faster way to tell residents what was going on.
Winning in Workflow & Transactions tells us that reimagining how requests move through a strata business, from the first email to the final resolution, is landing with the industry and with the judges assessing it.
We’ve been calling this shift traditional strata versus new strata. Traditional strata is inbox-driven and reactive, work lives in email, managers carry it all, and growth means hiring more people just to keep up. New strata is workflow-led and measurable, work is structured, shared across the team and visible to everyone who needs it. The businesses already making that shift are showing up in resvu’s own numbers. Teams running resvu at full capacity are seeing close to a 55 percent drop in email volume, with 85 percent of tickets handled or triaged by admin teams before they ever reach a manager. Some have added 3,500 to 4,000 lots with no extra headcount, alongside 20 to 30 percent revenue growth and 97 percent client retention.
A year of building
The award comes at the end of a big twelve months for resvu. Over that time the team rebuilt the platform from the ground up: nine modules, more than 30 features and a new mobile app, all running on updated infrastructure built for scale. Alongside the rebuild, resvu shipped more than 250 product improvements and introduced job management and granular permissions, with task management and a unified inbox in development.
Customers have noticed. One long-time client told us the communication improvements were the main reason they moved to resvu, centralising email, SMS and push notifications in one place instead of juggling separate channels for every update.
Thank you
Congratulations to every finalist and winner at this year’s awards, and thank you to Proptech Australia for putting on an event that gives the industry a genuine reason to get in a room together and celebrate the work. Thanks also to our customers, whose feedback shapes every feature we build, and to the resvu team for the work that got us here.
We’re not done. The next twelve months are about extending the platform further into the strata workflow and helping more teams get their time back.
