resvu in July 2026

This month’s release is about closing the loop on the things that quietly take up time: a quote sitting in someone’s inbox, a job that’s done but never marked closed, a text alert that doesn’t tell the reader where to go next. We’ve also got a clearer view of what’s happening across your open requests, quotes and work orders, all built from feedback you’ve sent us directly.

It’s also been a big month for resvu more broadly — we’ve just picked up the Scale-Up award in Workflow & Transactions at the 2026 Proptech Australia Awards. As our founder Tom put it during this month’s product showcase, “this feels like only the beginning of our Version 3 journey, and our move toward a more human-centric strata service model.”

Release highlights

  • Committee quote voting — send quotes for committee discussion and voting without leaving resvu
  • A more holistic dashboard — see all requests, quotes, and work orders for a building in one view, now searchable by lot
  • Bulk close requests — clear backlog in one action instead of one at a time
  • Links in SMS — give residents a direct path from a text alert into the full context in the app
  • Another award win for resvu — the Scale-Up award in Workflow & Transactions at the 2026 Proptech Australia Awards

Re-imagined quote voting for committees

How do you get committee sign-off without chasing emails?

Quote decisions that live in ad hoc email threads don’t hold up well if a committee member leaves, a strata manager moves on, or a decision ever needs to be traced back. A completed job that never gets marked closed quietly becomes next month’s backlog. A text alert with no link asks residents to remember what to do next on their own.

This builds on the committee experience we released back in February. The next step brings quote requests directly into that same committee workflow, so quotes can be sent for discussion and voting without leaving resvu or starting a separate email thread.

The result: she sends the quote once, and the decision trail lives in one place — no duplicated work, no waiting on replies that never come.

A more holistic dashboard view

How do you answer “what’s happening at this building” in seconds?

A resident calls. A committee member asks for an update. Someone wants to know what’s still open at a property. She used to check two or three different places before she had a real answer.

We’ve introduced an all tab that brings requests, quotes, and work orders together in one view. Search has changed too — requests can now be found by lot, not just by ID, so finding the right record doesn’t depend on remembering a reference number.

The result: when someone asks what’s going on at a building, she has an answer in seconds, not after a scavenger hunt through her inbox.

More bulk request actions

How do you close the loop on work that’s already done?

The work gets done — but if it’s never marked closed, your account fills up with requests that look outstanding when they’re not. That gap between “finished” and “filed as finished” is its own quiet admin project, and it only grows the longer it’s left.

Requests can now be bulk closed instead of worked through one at a time, so wrapping up completed work takes seconds instead of sitting on the to-do list.

Links in SMS

How do you get residents to act on a message?

An SMS alert sometimes requires action. A message with no link asks residents to remember what to do next on their own and most won’t, which is usually how she ends up fielding the phone call the SMS was meant to prevent.

Links can now be enabled in SMS messages, so residents go straight from the text into the full context in the app. It’s a natural addition, but it’s shaped by something clients tell us often: the goal isn’t just to notify people, it’s to get them into the app where the full picture lives. Every one of those visits also builds the habit — residents get used to going to the app for answers, instead of picking up the phone.

Oh, and one more thing

We couldn’t get through a July update without takling about this a little more. resvu has just won the Scale-Up award in Workflow & Transactions at the 2026 Proptech Australia Awards, announced at a gala in Sydney with nearly 300 people from across the property industry in the room.

We’re genuinely proud of this one. It’s not a strata-only award, it’s resvu going up against proptech businesses across every part of real estate and coming out on top in the exact category we care most about: fixing how work actually flows through a business. That’s the whole reason we get up in the morning, so having it recognised on that stage means a lot to the whole team.

It also comes hot on the heels of winning the SCA Queensland Excellence in Service award back in June, so it’s been a big few weeks around here. More on that soon, but for now, thank you to everyone who’s backed resvu along the way, especially our clients. Every feature above exists because of feedback from you, so this win is as much yours as it is ours.

The theme, in short

Every one of these updates removes a piece of manual work from her week, a follow-up email, a second search, a backlog cleanup, a message that goes nowhere. Together, they mean less time managing the process and more time getting the work done.
